LE NIVEAU D'ESTlME DE SOl DANS L'INSERTION SOCIOPROFESSIONNELLE DES ENFANTS,DE LA RUE DU FOYER DON BOSCO DE PORTO-NOVO.

Abstract

This study aims at contributing to the improvement of the strategies of socio-professional insertion of the children of the street supported by the "Foyer Don Bosco (FDB) " of Porto-Novo, while taking into account their level of self esteem. This investigation of qualitative and quantitative type concerned 45 subjects of which 28 children of the street taken in charge by the FDB, and in a training situation, 3 members of the executive beard of the FDB, 5 educators of the children, 4 bosses of the workshops of professional training of the children and 5 parents. The results show on one hand, that the FDB takes into account the subsystems of the structuro- functionalism of Parsons in the strategies of socio-professional insertion of the children of the street and on the other that, these children have a level of self esteem and that their strategies of socio-professional insertion don't influence their level of self esteem. Thestudy showed that the subsystems of the structuro-functionalism (adaptation, mobilization, integration and motivation) are very important in the support and the socio-professional insertion of the children of the street.
