Immigration et dynamiques sociales dans la Commune d'Abomey-Calavi au Bénin

Abstract

Cet article montre comment Abomey-Calavi est devenue une commune d’immigration par excellence au Bénin. De son vrai nom «Agbomè-Kanrofi », Abomey-Calavi est aujourd'hui la première commune en matière de peuplement et de population grâce aux différents flux migratoires. A travers cette immigration, les relations entre immigrés se construisent, se déconstruisent et se reconstruisent sous l'influence de plusieurs facteurs tels que l’interculturalisme, le multiculturalisme et le communautarisme qui lui impriment son dynamisme. En partant de l’hypothèse de travail, il s’ensuit que le statut de ville-relais et le multiculturalisme configuré basé sur la théorie des axes de retour justifient la dynamique migratoire d’Abomey-Calavi. L’analyse proposée part d’une recherche documentaire et des entretiens réalisés sur un échantillon de 67 acteurs. Les difficultés méthodologiques liées à cette recherche sur des immigrations sont la variabilité et la fiabilité des méthodes de collecte de données. Les résultats obtenus témoignent qu’au-delà de la multiculturalité naissante, les phénomènes migratoires sont révélateurs du fonctionnement des solidarités territoriales et de l’organisation de l’espace à moyenne échelle. ABSTRACT: I have tried to show through this paper how the administrative district of Abomey-Calavi has become that one of immigration par excellence in Benin. The true name of the town is Agbomé-Kanrofi, Calavi is nowadays the first administrative district as regards its population owing to the different migratory flux. Through this immigration, the relationships among the immigrants are constructed, deconstructed and reconstructed under the influence of many factors whose interculturality, multiculturalism and communautarianism are one of the dynamics more visible. This research aims at analyzing the different dynamics and their implications on the administrative district of Calavi among the resident populations.From the hypothesis of the work, it appears that the status of the dormitory town and configured multiculturalism based on the theory of the axes of the return justifying the migration dynamics of Abomey-calavi. The methodological difficulties bound to this research on the immigrations are variability and accuracy of the methods of collection of data.The results obtained prove that above the nascent multiculturalty, the migration phenomna express the functioning of the territorial solidarities and the organization of the environment on a medium scale. I have adopted the historical methods as well as that one of investigation and the qualitative method as for analysis.
