CES ONG QUI PACIFIENT LES ELECTIONS AU BENIN : TRAJECTOIRES ET LEGITIMATION DES ACTIONS

Abstract

Résumé Le pluralisme social a généré la multiplication des ONG dont certaines se spécialisent et se mettent en réseaux. Durant les élections, test pour la démocratie vu les violences qui éclatent, des ONG officiant en droits humains et en démocratie font de la prévention et de la médiation sociopolitique. Quoique nécessaires, ces actions de participation citoyenne sont fragilisées : opportunisme, dépendance financière, confusion de genre dans le rapport au politique, captage de la rente électorale, etc. Ce papier fait une archéologie des défis de légitimité de ces acteurs sociaux. Mots clés : Elections, légitimité, ONG, pacification, médiation sociopolitique, démocratie. Abstract Social pluralism has generated the multiplication of NGOs. Some of them are specialized and form networks. During the elections, test for democracy by considering the violence, NGOs officiating in human rights and in democracy domains make prevention and socio-political mediation. Although necessary, these actions of citizen participation are fragile: opportunism, financial dependence, gender confusion in the relationship to the politics, capture of the electoral rent, etc. This paper makes an archeology of the challenges of legitimacy concerning these social actors.
