Physic-mechanical characterization of the clayey soils of Issaba depression in the South-East of Benin

Abstract

The instability of the soils due to the swelling phenomenon is among others at the origin of enormous damages in civil engineering works such the deformations, the cracking, the tearing, the wear of the rotation surface and the destruction of the foundations observed at the infrastuctures level.
