LYMPHOME DE BURKITT DU LOBE FRONTAL DU CERVEAU: A PROPOS 1 D'UN CAS OPERE AU CENTRE NATIONAL HOSPITALIER ET UNIVERSITAIRE HUBERT KOUTOllKOll MAGA DE COTONOU

Abstract

RESUME Objectif: Ce travail rapporte un cas de localisation cérébrale d'un lymphome de Burkitt Cas clinique: Un jeune homme de 22 ans est transféré aux urgences neurochirurgicales CNHU HKM depuis un centre de santé périphérique de Cotonou, pour une volumineuse tuméfaction frontopariétale évoluant depuis 5 ans associée à une altération de l'état général. La sérologie VIH est négative. L'exérèse chirurgicale a été réalisée et l'examen anatomopathologique était en faveur d'un lymphome de Burkitt et l'immunohistochimie en a révélé le phénotype. Discussion: Les localisations cérébrales du lymphome de Burkitt sont rares et peu décrites. Cette souligne l'intérêt que toute exérèse chirurgicale de tumeur cérébrale doit faire l'objet d'examen anatomo- pathologique appropriés en vue d'une meilleure preuve étiologique, indispensable à une prise en charge efficace, rapide et adéquate. SUMMARY LYMPHOMA BURKITT OF FRONTAL LOBE OF THE BRAIN: ONE CASE DESCRIBED IN THE NATIONAL UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL CENTER HUBERT MAGA KOUTOUKOU OF COTONOU Objective: this work reports a case of frontal lobe location of Burkitt Iymphoma. Clinical case: A 22-year-old young man was referred from a primary health care center of Cotonou to the neurology surgical emergencies in University Hospital. His huge fronto-parietal mass was developing for 5 years with a cranial vault defect. There was an impairment of his general status including disability and weight loss. HIV serology is negative. Tumor resection was performed and histopathology finding revealed a Burkitt Iymphoma. Immunohistochemistry showed its phenotype. Discussion: Cerebral locations of Burkitt Iymphoma are rarely described. Our report emphasis that any brain tumor removal should be followed by appropriate histopathology investigations for a beUer etiology understanding prior to proceed an effective, fast and adequate care.
