dc.description.abstractThe objective of this research is to determine the motivations of Beninese students for the sector of STAPS. To achieve this, a questionnaire was administered to 416 Beninese. Among them, there are 206 teachers of Physical Education (alumni of INJEPS) and 210 students enrolled in STAPS. The results showed that in a difficult economic environment where opportunities for professional insertions are rare, it is mainly the professional projects offered by this sector which determine his choice by Beninese students. By cons, when the employment issue does not arise, it is the curriculum it offers that attract them. In view of the circumstances that affect the global economic environment in recent years, it is feared that the professional project is going to replaced progressively the quality of university education programs.
