Abstract

This research paper aims at interesting in energy effectiveness matter in Beninese public administrations that is perceived as a waste of electric power. The Users’ non- payers behavours that certain administrative agents develop lead to the overtunings of recorded granted budgetary credit in the matter of electric expenditure. Then, the government doesn’t always honor the payment of the state’s invoice one time. To reverse trend, in order to reduce the invoice’s amount of the state’s electric power, the journalist, in accordance with his/ her mission to inform, to educate and to entertain has to plays a role. For that purpose, he or she must be informed of energy effectiveness so that control not only semantic content, but above all the small things that consist of making economy of energy and money. Having noticed that the theme of energy effectiveness is little addressed by the Beninese journalists as well as in the print media than the audiovisual, we have conveyed two investigations by questionnaires in Abomey-Calavi’s and Cotonou’s Cities. The first with ninety-four (94) administratives agents and the second with seventy-four (74) Beninese journalists enlivening the Desk Société which is involved in the issue of energy effectiveness. The findings are clear: 89,75 % of the administrative agents regulate the air conditioner in their office at 16 º C instead of 24º C or 25º C; consuming then more electric energy. Regarding jouranlists, our findings show that energy effectiveness theme is not only mentioned during the implementation phases of the projects related to energy effectiveness. . The journalistic genres to which they have recourse are journalistic account, report and talk shows.
