dc.description.abstractThe purpose o f thisstudywas to investigate the effects on the spine o f the binding postu re adopted b y the students in class room s o f CompetencyBasedApproach (CBA) in Benin. This comparative and transversal research is related to 60 students randomly assigned into two groups Non Exposed Subjects (NES) and Exposed Subjects (ES) identical within age (19,8 ± 1,9 years versus 20,50 ± 1,5 years) and the B o dy M ass Index. A m easure o f the spino p e lvic param eters b y radiographies o f face and p ro file reveals a significant reduction between N E S resp E S o f the sacred slop (39 °5 ± 8,9 versus 34 °4 ± 9,6 to p = 0,04) a nd o f the cervical lordosis (37°6 ± 1 1 versus 31°3 ± 1 2 , 7 to p = 0,04). M oreover one evaluation o f the p ain objectified b y EVA show that the ES suffer more than NES from neck pain, from dorsoniya and lumbalgo. Theseresultssuggest a correction o f the binding posture currentlyadopted by the students in class.
