dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to evaluate the physical activity level of the principal services’staff of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education (MINSPE), the Ministry of Public Health (MINPH) and the Ministry of Higher Education (MINHE) in Cameroon. Data were collected by the means of a International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ). A 389 sample of participants chosen haphazardly from the minitry of Sports and Physical Education (150), the Ministry of Higher Education (121) and the Ministry of Public Health (118) were parts of the survey. 50.1% amogst the stakeholders have a low physical activity level whereas 49.9% have a physical activity level (moderate and elevated). The low level of physical activity 48.70% is most appreciated at the ministry of plublic health compared to both the ministry of higher education (36%) and Sports and Physical Education (25.40%). The current survey revealed that sex, age non transmissible diseases and long lasting sedentary occupation influence the physical activity level. In order to increase the staff productivity of the said ministries, ameliorate then reduce their health costs, it should be necessary to set up efficient and long lasting strategies allowing them the practice of physical activities.
